Jesus used parables to communicate profound spiritual truths through simple, relatable stories. Writers such as C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien have also shown us how imagination can awaken understanding, challenge perspectives and reveal deeper meaning.
A parable doesn't have to be a true story. It might begin with an imagined situation, an everyday experience, an unexpected character or a simple question. What makes it meaningful is the deeper truth woven into the story.
