Yes to lifting up and no to taking down
Our tongues are like a double-edged sword. They can lift up or cut down. They can speak life or speak death over ourselves or others.
How many times have you said to yourself “no I can’t do that” or “no thank you”, because you just lacked confidence in yourself or in others to support you. You thought people would laugh at you or ridicule you for failing if you tried and didn’t succeed the first time. Those words and fears feeding into your actions.
How many times have you kicked yourself for not giving something a go or taking the opportunity when it was right in front of you. How many times have you be cross with yourself for coming up with an idea and then not moving on it and then found out someone else had the courage to step out and is now where you could have been? All of this driven by the words in our head that bring us down….that kill, steal and destroy our hope, being our best selves and having fun!
So today I encourage you to say no to taking down yourself and others, all those that would have been on the journey with you are then robbed of being shown the way.
And I strongly recommend that you say yes to lifting up….lifting yourself up by having courage, believing in yourself (your dream and desires are yours and no one else’s, so start owning it) and stop expecting others to do what you have been called to do….they are called elsewhere.
I heard today, the most selfish thing you can do is to help/lift up someone else ….as when you do so you get all the joy! I encourage you to take a leaf out of the book and love yourself in every moment, be kind and encouraging to yourself, because as you do, you will then pour out that kindness and encouragement to others, lifting, growing and loving in the process. Unbelievable Joy.
So I encourage you today to let go and say no to taking down and say yes and thank you for lifting up.
