#43 Yes to joy and no to pain

Yes to joy and no to pain

Say yes to joy. Be thankful every day for what you have, for the blessings in your life, from a warm welcome when you come home at night, to someone cooking dinner for you, to the beautiful family and people you have in your life. Shout for joy when you see someone you love, give them a big hug and let them know how much you love them. Joy is a choice and it’s one I choose every day in my heart regardless of circumstances. It can be cold, wet and grey outside and I will always have joy in my heart.

Say no to pain. When we hold onto regret, guilt, unforgiveness, bitterness, loss and grief it can eat us up from the inside out. These are real, genuine emotions at the time that tell our bodies something is up and it’s not good, however, we need to acknowledge them, appreciate them for what they are and then release them. These times are meant to pass. Time is a great healer, if we let go, if we acknowledge the emotion and then release it.

So I encourage you today to let go and say no to pain and say yes and thank you for joy.
